Staybello is a hotel search engine that lets you book straight through — no hand-off to another site, no booking fee, and one confirmation you can use at the property.
Type a city, region, landmark or airport. We resolve it to coordinates and ask our supply partner for every property with live availability for your dates and party. Prices come back per night and as a total, in your currency.
Filters are the point of a search engine. Price, guest rating, star rating, property type, board, free cancellation, distance from the centre and more than thirty facilities — and every option shows how many properties would be left before you click it. The map shows a price on every property, and you can drag it to a neighbourhood and search exactly there.
When you pick a room we re-check the exact rate with the property, then take payment through a secure Stripe form hosted by Nuitée Travel, our accommodation supplier and merchant of record. Your card details never touch our servers.
You get a booking reference by email straight away. Use My booking with that reference and your email address to view, print or cancel — refunds on free-cancellation rates are automatic.
We are paid a margin by the accommodation supplier, which is already inside the price you see. We never add a fee on top of your booking, and we never charge you to cancel.
This is the part most sites skip, and it is the part worth understanding.
When you choose a room we do not simply take your money. We first re-check that exact rate with the property — a step called a prebook — because live availability means a rate can disappear between your search and your decision. Only if it comes back confirmed do you reach the payment form.
If the price has changed in those minutes, we show you the new one before you pay rather than after. That is why the total on the checkout page is occasionally a euro or two off the search result: you are seeing the real rate rather than a cached one.
Payment is taken by Nuitée Travel, our accommodation supplier, through a secure Stripe form. They are the merchant of record: they hold the reservation with the property, they appear on your card statement, and they are who the property invoices.
Staybello never sees or stores your card number. Our margin is already inside the price you agreed to, so there is no separate charge from us and nothing is added at the end.
You get a booking reference starting with sb- and a confirmation email immediately. That reference is the reservation: the property can look it up, and you can view, print or cancel it yourself through My booking without an account and without a password.
An account is not needed for any of that. There is one, and it does a single thing: it lowers your price. Signed in, every room shows the amount a visitor without an account pays struck through, and next to it what you pay. Free, no password, gone again in one click — see member prices.
It is rare and it does happen — an overbooking, a burst pipe, a property that closes. Because the supplier is the merchant of record, they carry the obligation, not you: they arrange an alternative of at least the same standard or refund in full.
Tell us as soon as you know, with the booking reference. The useful thing you can do at that moment is not to pay for a replacement room yourself before speaking to someone, because an unauthorised booking is much harder to reimburse than one we arranged.
You book through Staybello. The reservation is supplied and invoiced by Nuitée Travel, our accommodation supplier, and the hotel receives it directly with a reference they can look up.
At the moment you complete the payment form. There is nothing to pay at the property unless a local tourist tax applies, which the property collects on arrival.
Because rates are live and we re-check yours with the property before you pay. A search result is a snapshot from a few minutes ago; the checkout figure is the rate the property confirms right now. We would rather show you the change before payment than explain it afterwards.
No. Your booking reference plus the email address you used is enough to view, print or cancel through My booking. There is a free account, but it exists for one reason only: members pay less and see both prices on every room. No password, and you can delete it in one click — member prices.
