Staybello is an independent hotel search engine. We built it because comparing accommodation online had become slower and noisier than it needs to be.
A search engine with a checkout attached. You search once, filter down to the handful of properties that actually fit, and book without leaving the site. We are not a hotel chain and not a travel agency with a shop window — the inventory comes from a global accommodation supplier and we show it honestly.
A margin from the accommodation supplier, included in the displayed price. We do not charge booking fees, we do not sell your data, and we do not accept payment for ranking properties higher. “Recommended” sorting is a formula based on guest rating, review volume, distance and value — nothing else.
Availability, rates and the reservation itself come from Nuitée Travel, who act as merchant of record. That is why your card statement and your invoice mention them, and why your confirmation reference works directly at the property.

Every comparison site says it has good prices. We publish how we measure them.
For each of the 481 destinations we cover, we record the live rate of every property we can book, three separate times, in windows a month apart, always Tuesday to Thursday. The figure you see on a destination page is the middle of those three — and we throw away any round that came back with too few properties, because a truncated sample loses the cheap end of the market first and makes an ordinary city look expensive.
The whole method is written out on our price index page, including what we discard and what the numbers do not tell you. You are welcome to quote the figures, and to check them.
No paid placement. A property cannot buy a higher position in our results. The order comes from your sort setting and nothing else.
No manufactured urgency. You will not find «only 2 rooms left» or «5 people are looking at this» anywhere on this site. Those messages exist to hurry you, not to inform you, and there is no line of code here that produces one.
No booking fee, and no bait price. The price you see includes our margin and the taxes the property reports. Where a local tax must be paid at the property, we say so on the rate rather than at the end.
Fair questions deserve a way to verify the answer, so here are three.
The price: open the same room on the property's own website for the same dates. Sometimes we are cheaper, sometimes they are; what should never happen is a figure here that does not exist there.
The reservation: your confirmation comes from Nuitée Travel, who are the merchant of record and hold the booking with the property. That is also the name on your card statement.
The measurements: the method page states the sample, the weekday, the windows and the discard rule. If a figure of ours looks wrong to you, that page tells you exactly how it was produced.
We can currently book 74,264 properties across 481 destinations in 107 countries — hotels, apartments, villas, resorts, hostels, guest houses and B&Bs. The site runs in six languages and shows prices in more than twenty currencies, converted at the live rate rather than a rounded one.
We do not claim to list every property in the world, and a destination without real availability simply does not get a page. A thin page helps nobody.

Your accommodation contract is with Nuitée Travel, who act as merchant of record: they charge your card and issue the invoice for your stay. Staybello is the company you deal with before, during and after that booking — and the company you can hold to everything written on this page.

No, and no site does. We show what our supply partner can actually book for your dates, which is most of the market in the destinations we cover but never all of it. Properties that sell only through their own website or through a single competitor will not appear.
No. There is no advertising product, no sponsored slot and no commercial weighting in the sort order. Results are ordered by whatever you choose — price, guest rating, distance or our recommended mix — and that mix uses the same data you can see on the card.
