Hotels with free cancellation

We include a property in this collection when the property itself reports that it is that can be cancelled free of charge. The list is rebuilt from live availability, so a property only appears while it is actually bookable.

Most rooms offer free cancellation and every rate states its own deadline before you pay. Use the free cancellation filter to see only those rates.

Not quite, and the difference is what catches people out. Free cancellation is about the deadline: up to a point set by the property, usually 24 to 72 hours before check-in, you can cancel without a fee. Refundable is about the money: whether anything already taken comes back, and how fast. A rate can be free to cancel and still take a deposit at booking that takes days to return, and a rate can say «pay at the property» and still charge you if you cancel late. The property sets those two lines independently, so read both. We show the exact deadline in the property's own time zone on every rate, because «48 hours before» means something different when you are booking from another continent.
