• Whether wi-fi is free and what guests say about it. A hotel can offer wi-fi and still be unusable for a video call.
• Breakfast start time, especially at weekends when it often shifts an hour later.
• Whether there is a desk and a chair in the room, which budget properties increasingly drop.
• Late check-out and luggage storage, which decide whether your last day works.
